Architectural Record’s Review of New Tall Buildings in New York

Monday, May 1, 2017

Architectural Record featured 56 Leonard and 10 Hudson Yards in its May issue as the newest tall building additions to the New York skyline. Enclos collaborated on the facade of both high-rise towers.

Designed by Herzog & Meuron, 56 Leonard rises 57-stories above New York’s Tribeca neighborhood. The tower is known for its iconic cantilevered floors which become gradually more prominent towards the top. A window wall system is used between the stacked floors to provide unobstructed views of the Hudson and East rivers.

Three miles north of 56 Leonard is 10 Hudson Yards standing 878 feet tall. It is part of the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States. Designed by Kohn Pederson Fox, 10 Hudson Yards is the new home to Coach, L’Oreal USA., and SAP. The tower was completed in the Spring of 2016. Enclos is also providing the facade for 30 Hudson Yards, currently under construction. The Hudson Yards development project is set to be completed by 2025.
