The Trump International Hotel & Tower is located across from the Wynn and Encore Towers on Las Vegas Boulevard. All three towers showcase Enclos’ mark on the Vegas skyline with advanced exterior wall technologies. Trump Las Vegas includes both residential condominiums and hotel facilities on its three and a half acre site. The structure is the tallest residential building in Las Vegas.

The $1 billion project includes 406,000 square feet of exterior facade whose glass is coated in actual gold. The insulated glass lites include a reflective coating on an inner surface that contains an optically thin layer of 24-karat gold. This gold skin provides more than a distinctive aesthetic. The metal additive creates a highly reflective surface, effective in lowering the level of light transmission and reducing solar heat absorption while reducing glare from within. The curtainwall design consisted of a pressure-equalized unitized system with insulated slab edge panels, vented interior horizontals, and continuous exterior window washing tracks.

The Enclos team is used to the demanding scheduling requirements of the construction industry. Still, the blistering pace of this project was unprecedented — opened to the public only 18-months after groundbreaking. Installation crews operated two tower cranes throughout the night shift at a pace never more than 10-stories behind the structure crews. To keep pace with the erection crews, Enclos partnered with Sierra Aluminum Company for metal fabrication. Final assembly of units was performed at an Enclos facility in Southern California.
