SLIDESHOW | USC’s Facade Tectonics 8 conference

The University of Southern California's biannual Facade Tectonics conference came to a close Sunday following four days of technical presentations, executive education sessions and guided tours. Topics ran the gamut of building skin considerations, ranging from engineering guidelines to design considerations and material selection. The sold-out event expanded to four days in 2012 with presentations from leading architects, engineers, facade designers, industry experts, and researchers.

Enclos is proud to have sponsored USC's research focus group since its inauguration in 2008. Day two concluded with an "Innovation Session" moderated by Mic Patterson and Jeffrey Vaglio of Enclos to recap day one's executive education program. Both are Ph.D. candidates at USC's School of Architecture, and Vaglio is a 2012 recipient of Building Design & Construction magazine’s prestigious “40 Under 40” award.

Facade Tectonics 9, the abbreviated winter format of the biannual conference series, is tentatively scheduled for December 9, 2012.
