The Ritz-Carlton Residences at LA Live Opens
Standing as the only skyscraper built within Los Angeles in two decades, the Ritz-Carlton Residences at LA Live opens today. With its patterned glass façade of 34 different glass types, the tower reshapes the city’s downtown skyline with a kaleidoscope design.
Enclos provided complete design-assist and design-build services for the 540,000 sqft of custom unitized curtainwall that skins the L.A. Live Tower & Residences. Enclos also provided the 20,000 sqft of structural glass façade on display at the podium entrance.
With it’s proximity to downtown Los Angeles’ entertainment district, including the Staples Center, Los Angeles Convention Center, Nokia Theater L.A. Live, Club Nokia, Grammy Museum and ESPN’s west coast headquarters, the Residences’ urban site is often referred to as the “Times Square of the West.”
The Ritz-Carlton Residences at LA Live begin at the 27th floor — just above the L.A. Live JW Marriott Hotel — and rise to the 52nd floor. The 123 guest rooms therein offer pristine views of the surrounding Los Angeles cityscape and Santa Monica mountain range. Five-star amenities include an 8,000 sqft full-service hotel spa — downtown Los Angeles’ first — celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck’s WP24 restaurant, the 3,400 sqft Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, an outdoor pool and 2,000 sqft fitness center.
Both the Residences and JW Marriott Hotel are LEED certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.
